As a Result of Seeing His Mother Saved

 When Dr. Marco was a very young boy he saw the change the Lord made in his mother's life, he accepted the Lord as his personal savior at the age of 12. Shortly after being saved his family moved from El Paso, TX to California where he meet his life's partner  Carmen Gonzalez. They were married shortly after graduating from high school. After marring Dr. Samaniego, Carmen and part of their family were led to start a church in Coachella, California. It was while serving there that God called him into the ministry. He enrolled in extension classes from Golden Gate Seminary and began preaching the gospel at every opportunity.

 During this time he was supporting his family by working as an Operating Room Technician. While working in this field, God led him to continue his education. Their plans were for Dr. Samaniego to finish his education and then they were going to return to California to open a private practice and continue to serve the Lord. They very quickly learned that God had other plans for them. While studying and serving in Juarez the Lord led them to establish a ministry in this area where not only spiritual needs were met, but also physical needs were filled. As a result Hands of Luke Medical Ministries was started under the Lord's guidance. Hands of Luke continues to grow and testify that the power of the Lord changes lives not only spiritually but physically also.
